General
- SNBI - SNBI Forms are included for all Report Types and Inspection Types are now included. We are starting to transition to the new SNBI inspectons. Starting with inspection from August through December 2024, users strongly encouraged to select both NBI and SNBI Inspection Types and complete both NBI as well as SNBI forms. Starting January 2025, both NBI and SNBI forms shall be completed.
- Weathering Steel - In light of FHWA's upcoming requirement to identify structures with Uncoated Weathering Steel, we have added fields for Uncoated Weathering Steel to the Superstructure and Substructure NBI and SNBI forms.
- NBI Items 64 or 66 are coded for Rating Factor and the Rating Factor is an integer (1, 2, etc.) - You MUST code 100, 200, etc. or AssetWise will interpret this as 001, 002, etc. (Don't use decimals!)
Mobile App
- Current Versions
- iOS: 01.12.01 (October 2024)
- Android: 01.12.01.77 (October 2024)
- Ver. 01-12-01 Release Notes
- Requirements:
- Bentley IMS Account: A Bentley IMS (Identity Management System) account is required to log into the mobile app. Instructions for establishing an account are included in "AssetWise Inspections Mobile User Manual"", which can be downloaded above. [You need to log in to the web app and check your e-mail address prior to settng up your IMS account.]
- iOS: The new Mobile App requires iOS version 13.4 or higher. The new app can be loaded on devices with older iOS versions, but the Bentley IMS system will not function. The new app will also function on iPhones, but your experience may vary. I can say that the older curved screen edge models are not suitable due to the user control design.
- Resolved Issues:
- All reports types are now available, along with their associated forms
- When uploading a report from the Mobile App, the issue of adding previous photos and attachments, even though the default setting is to not do so, has been resolved. [The control for this is there when the data is sync'ed. You may need to restart your tablet to see it.]
- The issue of not uploading photos has been resolved.
- Many newer Apple devices use HEIC or HEIF photo formats. these formats as well as JPG and other formats are NOW SUPPORTED.
- Pending Issues:
- When syncronizing data, leading zeros are being removed and decimals are being rounding or truncated. Bentley on Data Issues.
- The Mobile App does not currently have a control to select Projects/Work Specifications.
- The Mobile App does not currently recognize the Default Report Type. If you use the Mobile App, you will need to select the Report Type based on the type of structure being inspected.
- Mobile SNBI Forms have not been created.
- Mobile Insp. Summary, I90 and X Section - The Mobile site does not have fields for NBI Item 90 or Inspection Summary on the Inspection Info page nor do the mobile pages for the Cross Section contain tables for the cross section and fixed object data points, as on the Web version. When a report is created on a mobile device, NBI 90 is set to the create date. The current mobile apps do not support tables, which is why the cross-section and fixed object tables aren't available. You need to check all of these after the report is uploaded to AssetWise using the web site.
Web App
- Resolved Issues:
- The "move the bridge location dot" feature of the Show On Map tab of the Asset Details page problem has been fixed.
- When running a query in AssetWise, the "Export Results to KML" feature, which generates a Google Earth compatible KML map file has been fixed.
- Pending Issues:
- When uploading files or photos, if you enter a date for the files or photos, the system will upload them with the current date or it may transpose the month and day (10/03/2024 becomes 03/10/2024). The bad dates may be corrected individually by selecting the "Edit Details" (pencil) icon for each affected file or photo.
- The Inspection and Status page is broken. A new Inspection and Status2 page has been added. [If a form is missing from the form list, it can be found and added by selecting "Forms" at the bottom of the Report Info section.]
- PDF:
- Bridge Ends page, Field Notes PDF - The "Bridge Ends" page of the "Field Notes" PDF displays the lable "Single Axle" where it should display "Gross". The data displayed is correct.
